Director's Message

Dear Parents and other members of the Nefertari family,

Nefertari American International School is home to 740 students and 105 faculty members from around the world. We pride ourselves on our academic program, record, and accomplishments. Our faculty work hard to provide a unique and challenging academic experience for students. We treat each student as an individual, focusing on developmentally appropriate instruction, higher level thinking, teamwork and problem solving skills, all while integrating technology. Our talented staff of qualified teachers is committed to student learning and their own professional growth.

 We utilize the latest learning, measuring, and analysis tools to track our students’ academic progress. To communicate this progress to parents, we use our website to post a daily data report for each student in grades 6-12 and a monthly descriptive report for each student in K-5. As the need arises, we contact parents through their emails or mobile phones with information and instructions. Please make sure you send your email address correctly to the school so that we can send you this information regularly.

We would like you to visit our website as much as you can to download our updated school calendar, our newsletters, your child’s timetable, exam timetable, House events newsletters, and invitations for PTA and other school events and news. Please take the chance to download the student/parent handbook which explains all the school rules for students.

 If any of your child’s information changes, such as the address, home phone, or other important contact info, please take the time to inform the school. If you are unable to contact the school administration for any reason, please use the “Parents’ Corner” link on the website to send a message. We will respond to you as soon as possible.  Parents of grade 10, 11, and 12 who are planning or preparing to take the SAT test, please visit the “SAT Corner” on our website where you will find links to important College Board material for viewing and download. Remember when you register online that our school code for the SAT Test is “648107”.

 I feel privileged to be part of this school. I invite you to fully explore the content of our new website to gain a sense of the wonderful learning opportunities available at NAIS. I would also encourage all parents to be in regular contact with the school to stay connected with their child’s education. We will gladly respond to any questions you may have. Please ask us.
